Depends the useage. If you say a trans woman is “born male” without her telling you it’s ok, yes. If you say a trans man is “born male” without him telling you it’s ok, yes.
I am a trans woman and I was born female. If you try to tell be I was born male based solely off my genitalia, it is transphobic and I will react as such.
Though it’s still cissexist to imply that people are born with a gender.

If the situation arises where one’s gender at birth is really necessary to discuss (and let me just say about 85-90% of the time, IT ISN’T) using the phrase “assigned male at birth” or “assigned female at birth” (AMAB and AFAB respectively) is much better than “born male” or “born female” because it both notes that one is not BORN with gender, and the fact that gender is typically ASSIGNED to us. It is the very first choice taken away from us. (and that’s us as in EVERYONE)
But again, very rarely is it absolutely necessary to bring into conversation. If asked, reply with “Does it matter?” If they say yes, than ask them why they are so curious about the genitals of a newborn.

- Other people’s cultures do not exist for white people to seek their spiritual enlightenment
- No one owes you an education, and initiation, or a history lesson simply because ‘you want’
- No one has to include you in things because ‘you want’
- No one has to hold their tongue, sweeten their words, or chop up sentences to make white people feel better about history- colonization, slavery, genocide, etc.
- No one should be ‘grateful’ to you for your interest in said culture

I just wish people would stop reblogging this…or at least blog the one that is actually useful. Regardless, I wish this didn’t blow up my phone as often as it does.
